8 Torrington is a very brave new build home. Its Olde English for a start, which already loses most of you; but it is built to such a standard that when its attracts a suitor to its sweet offerings they will be entranced and will move to a mindset of I have to have this. The French Provincial being built next door will attract more; but this home will attract a greater intensity of interest. It has a real lodge type feel, for some the architecture will be too bold, too enclosed, but for me, I loved it. Timber work everywhere - but painted so as to keep the mood light. It is a mood home. While it has a lift, curiously there is a step into the master bedroom , which has a real intimacy about it, but nonetheless a small physical issue. All wet areas have full, high quality tiling to the highest order. The backyard is good without being great and the downstairs is a typical high level basement set up with entertainment, plenty of car space and cellar as well as the lift. The price - well its asking $5million and for me the end result will be give or take a million and the sold sticker will be slapped on in an almost impossible to guess timeframe. A lovely, well thought out, beautifully crafted home.
