This is a neat-looking, freestanding townhouse that would best suit a couple, but might be a bit tight for a family. It is the front one in a block of three. The living/dining and kitchen area is quite bright, and leads to a small deck at rear that also benefits from the northern orientation. A lock-up garage affords some extra storage, however buyers may be concerned about the makeshift space for the washing machine and dryer that is also in the garage. Upstairs, the accommodation is a bit of a squeeze – there are three bedrooms, a study and two bathrooms, but they all feel rather small, though not unpleasant. Their position is fine, but no room really stands about above the other, and the bathrooms will only take a person at a time. You can see a couple living here, perhaps using the extra rooms as studios, or libraries, which could be quite a comfortable arrangement. But the addition of children would cramp things up. There are options to tinker about with the walls and robes, generally allowing for a slightly better floorplan for those willing to put in a bit of effort. Directly opposite is the site of the old Argo Hotel, which is now being redeveloped into a block of modern-style apartments, and may have an impact on the surrounds in time.
