This 1960's modernist property sits proudly on the hill in a much sort after area of Balwyn North. An extensive renovation has transformed the interior into a modern functional space offering good floor plan flexibility, yet retaining the modernist style typified in the 60's. Externally, the property's facade remains true to its origins and still offers a powerful statement, with flat roof, floor to ceiling windows and cream brick walls all typical of the period. The first floor contains the main living areas and bedrooms whilst the ground floor configuration provides bonus accommodation and living flexibility - an elderly family member or a teenager deep in study may find the separation and space that this area offers very appealing. Upstairs the renovation has been well planned and although the kitchen and family areas do not have the usual ground floor outdoor connection, it still works. It seems to work due to the northern light flooding into the property through the front windows and the large open space which connects the front terrace to the rear decking. Some concerns may be the southerly rear and the potential for the new owners to rely on cars for getting about as railway transportation is some distance away. Position is ok (some road noise) but the home is simply brilliant if you want a 1960's classic - simply as good as it gets. Brilliant floor plan and feel for this 1960s gem.
