I thought before I went to view this home that it would be one just "chucked" on the block. How wrong I was - a lot of thought has gone into this irregular block and I like what has been produced. Street presence is good and the entrance does not let you down either, with the void giving a feeling of space. Formal welcoming rooms are well positioned; as is the slightly dated and underwhelming kitchen (cook/chef can view the outside) and the north facing informal living room has light, flow and views. Completing downstairs is a well positioned study/alternative bedroom (ensuite) and good sized garage. Upstairs is standard and acceptable for the quality of the offering. The garden has atmosphere and backs onto the old Outer Circle Railway which is now a bike path. Yes Barnsbury carries above average traffic and the home does sit on a bit of an "island"; but for me it has a lot to offer. In twenty years with a freshen up it will be as good as it is today. I like it and so will others.
