Comments on 1A Karma Avenue MALVERN EAST

Only a couple of years old though doesn’t feel out of place in the precinct. The pitched roof and shape of the building reminds of some 30s and 40s homes and the interior, while contemporary has aimed for ‘timeless’ rather than cutting edge and the taste should ensure a broad appeal.

The footprint of the home takes up the majority of the block with a northerly deck ensuring low-maintenance so it does have a town residence feel in that sense. The highlight for me is the kitchen and living spaces – an intimate hub that fits together and feels like the heart of a family home.

Additional storage features are an asset in such homes and this one has just enough, some families will see a way to live here comfortably, probably those with a couple of kids happy to be in close quarters with mum and dad. A couple or couple with one older child I can also see settling in here. Others may wish for additional living rooms or retreats, especially older families – though there is flexibility with rooms at the front to be used in a variety of ways.

One concern is the traffic noise from nearby Princes Highway so you will need to investigate this. And public transport access while in reach isn't at the doorstep. Karma, Nirvana, Alma … all streets in this precinct that have seen healthy competition in recent times – 1A Karma also enjoys the attractions of the environs.
