A lot to like about many 1960’s homes – they were a quieter and simpler time. This home at 15 Belle Vue was built at that time and is a basic standard version of what can for some be classics – simple floorplan, smaller rooms, low maintenance finishes.
This home would be better suited on the other side of the street, with formal living at the front for views, connecting to informal living at the rear for garden views and easier child supervision and entertainment with a good indoor-outdoor connection. For me, number 15 has poor placement of kitchen and a disconnect between the backyard and the living spaces.
The home itself is fairly unremarkable and looks to be in fairly good shape except it has lacked some day to day love where the paint is falling off – a building inspection would confirm – but it feels reasonably well built.
So, a home that for me is a basic (more so than a classic) and for many will be a new home site (STCA) as others in the street have been – It is land value plus a bit as little value in the home for most.
