First impressions are very, very good for this semi-renovated single-storey double-fronted Victorian. The garden is pretty and the trees form a screen like a private veil over the wonderful original façade, which invites you in with a series of framed-urn stone steps onto the majestic return veranda. Inside, past the original front rooms which are in good order, the gloss wears off a bit - the open plan living area is small and the backyard is dominated by a dated pool. But this can be changed and the façade is what the house is all about. It is clearly the highlight of this property. Buyers will say they won't want to get emotional here come auction day, but I suspect that to buy this property you will need to stretch a lot further than the basic maths of land plus building. It might indeed be worth trying to have a go beforehand. As an opportunity to renovate, such offerings do not come along very often, and this is one of the best I have seen this year.
