Comments on 11 Selwood Street HAWTHORN EAST

For me I liked this from the first time I pulled up in front of 11 Selwood.

Quieter, old fashioned type street with some improving homes, not too far from Anderson Park, Camberwell Junction, public transport and schools.

The home - ok doesn't have garaging and may not be that easy to get - so if you're a car buff then Mmmmm - may be a no - but if your cars are workhorses to get the family around - then no problem, plenty of space.

The entrance and home has a warm family feel about it - from the front older rooms to the rear more modern WOW -  the rear living and kitchen spaces. It's intimate and spacious all at once - it all works and no it doesn't open up with concertina doors - but you do feel totally connected to the backyard and a mum can do multiple tasks and keep an eye on the children.

The reason the connection is strong, is the architect has framed the rear yard from inside brilliantly with the windows.

Upstairs is a master bedroom and living space/further bedroom - upon reflection this is possibly more a teenagers home than an young children's home - although the floor plan is not a deal breaker for young families.

A big plus upstairs is the feeling of space - of life - with the panoramic views - I really liked that.

Ok this is not a faultless home built to a cutting edge design  - but I really like it and the area has been on the improve for near on a decade in terms of price increases - no mystery to me why - its in the middle of everything .

Not the biggest block, but north facing rear - this is a good long term family home at hopefully a good price and you can improve on it later on - with some simple cosmetic updates.
