It would be easy to use a good number of superlatives to describe this Drew Cole townhouse; it has quite a bit of character for a new home, beginning with the fine, crisp facade.
The stroll from the front through to the living spaces feels very comfortable. Why? I think it is the proportions of the rooms and passages, but also the use of materials. This home has used the surfaces very sensitively – plenty of warm wood, milky whites and stone, there’s a hint of modern Scandinavian style and it’s inviting. Despite being a new home, this interior feels like it will date quite well.
The kitchen surprised me, initially I thought it was a bit small, then I discovered the pantry; I don’t get pantry envy often but this should store most everything. And with the adjoining terrace and pool, there is a whiff of resort-style – it too is in near perfect order.
The garage area has been thought out. There is space down here for work and play cars and a lift from basement to the first floor. The guests bedroom in the basement is a bit detached from the main house and I'm not sure most people would want to sleep in what feels like being within the garage - there will be other uses for this room I should think.
Couples with visiting guests or adult children will be more than suitably accommodated here. A low maintenance quality home in a prime position will have interest.
It's an expression of interest campaign and these can be tricky exercises. Where and how do you start?
