With all the hard work already done, this well-renovated and extended brick 1920s home affords great family and lifestyle options. Particularly impressive is the way highlight windows have been used to bring light into the rear open-plan living area, creating a nicely-proportioned space that works really well. It also connects seamlessly to the west-facing rear backyard which, although average in size, is comfortable and versatile with its paved patio areas and large pool. The detached garage at the rear is a good size, but access to it via a narrow laneway is a little tricky, and using this on daily basis might prove inconvenient. While it is hard to find fault with the floorplan and quality overall, some buyers with an older or growing family might find the upstairs a little too pokey, and the lack of an additional bedroom a concern. The location is convenient, close to Riverdale Road and within Hawthorn's Scotch Hill precinct. Robinson Road is however a weaker one within the precinct, as it does carry some local traffic and has units, like the ones across the road from no. 44. This property would best suit a family with kids currently in primary school, and who plan to have them at Scotch in later years.
