Comments on 419 Station Street CARLTON NORTH

Centrally positioned between Rathdowne and Brunswick Street, this single-fronted period home offers a flexible floor plan, made possible by the addition of a second storey extension, and a kitchen/family room at the rear of the property. To allow enough space for the second storey, sections of the hallway and second bedroom ceilings have been lowered. This feels a little claustrophobic when you enter these areas. The kitchen and family room, have a bright and airy feel due to its high vaulted ceiling, well-placed windows and sky lights. The family room links well to a small court yard and landscaped gardens. A roller door at the back would allow a car to be brought in off the street if required. While the property is liveable now, the 10 to 15 year old renovation is starting to show signs of wear and tear and will require upgrading in the near future.
