"Set in one of Brighton East's premier streets, one house down from the park on a larger than normal north facing rear block makes this a property that could appeal to many.  It also offers a functional family home, albeit requiring some basic cosmetic upgrading, an opportunity to build your dream home, or maybe STCA (subject to Council approval). Although many may look at this as a bulldozer, the home works well for families.  It is definitely dated, however, paint, carpet and updating wet areas would certainly improve the property.  The bedrooms are well separated and cater for a larger family.  Both living areas face north overlooking the back yard and pool.  The relatively flat roof and style may not appeal to everyone.  Although located within walking distance to both Hampton Street shops and Church Street, it is a reasonable walk and if wanting regular use of public transport, it may be too far for some.  It is also located centrally to some of Bayside's best schools.  "
