"This is one of Elwood's best blocks - right next to the canal which I really do see as a bonus - space, place to run for the kids, atmosphere, nature. Anyways it's a north facing rear on a good size at over 600 sqm and sure the home needs a makeover - but that's probably all it needs. So one or two kids, older style hippies, or Elwood lovers then this warrants some thought - the Turtle isn't that far away, neither are other Ormond Road shops. Another bathroom, open up the rear living areas a bit more, possibly a 2nd storey (STCA) and put Joan Baez on with an ice cold Corona - aaah its heaven. Only one thing you have to do when you have found the money your need, and for all intents and purposes it should have a 2 as the first dollar number, is survive a full blown Sam Gamon auction - still the corniest but most loveable auctioneer going around."
