This home sold last year in the low $2m's and is now back on the market at mid $2m's.

Shasta is one of Brighton East's best streets and has been a steady improver over the decades - as more and more gentrifying has taken place. As well it’s close to schools and shops and even Church St is a walk (if you want it to be).

So, the home - well nobody could say it’s not a bright home - in summer it feels like you will need sunglasses and that is due to the enormous number and size of the windows, to take advantage of the northerly rear orientation and I assume as a design feature.

Now all these windows do look good from the street and they do liven up the home - but for me it gave me a sense of being in a fish bowl - on show to others - I felt a bit plastic - that was just me. The windows also disguised that the rooms and especially bedroom 3 and 4 were on the small side.

Look the home has everything you want (good James rating) and if you like the stark design, don't mind the internal steps and can buy this home well then hey, this can be a good home and a great place to have some friends over and a beer by the pool (kids entertainment) - good rear yard connection and BBQ.

This will have interest from buyers if the vendors don't get too far ahead of themselves.
