3 Wharton Street is a well-renovated Californian Bungalow that has a good feel and offers nice lifestyle options. The house has an attractive aspect from the street, and the indoor/outdoor links are very good. The kitchen/laundry to carport arrangement works particularly well. The floor plan is hard to fault in terms of flow and layout and would work best for a younger, growing family of four, as essentially it is a three bedroom home. Its position is quite good; it is walking distance to the local shops and Chatham to Primary. For some, however, it could be a bit too close to Whitehorse Road, and this is perhaps the main question mark. It could also be outgrown in time. That said, we would expect good competition for this, as it is a high quality, ready-made home with sound fundamentals.
This Californian Bungalow has a neat street presence. The floor plan works well with good front to back flow. The big open living area is a positive with great north light. I like the kid’s bedroom wing although a trifle small. Master bedroom works well and is away from other bedrooms. There are a few creaky floorboards at front between master and ensuite. Laundry is lovely and big with easy outdoor access. Carport allows for tandem parking. Backyard works for me - some road noise, but not serious.
