1970's Icon is the marketing headline and I agree - this is an almost perfect single level home - but for me the creator loses perfection with the middle living area - with the steps and the curvy thingo - however lets be clear, this was built by a master of his trade.

From the street - return to the carport and remove the paraphernalia around the front door and you will see class personified - enter and the front master to the side is exquisite from ensuite to bedroom to garden/window/courtyard aspect - that alone is symbolic of brilliance - in that it is not that easy to achieve that emotion.

Move through the living space(s) - it doesn't quiet work and I've seen these "statements" attempted before and every time they have failed to impress the significant majority of buyers who view them - they don't work for the masses. Is it fixable? Yes, but I think architecturally - not with anything slapdash - this needs a man or woman of experience and class to keep the integrity of the living spaces, by understanding the proportions with and without the circle walls and possibly whilst thinking about this, lets get the kitchen connecting a bit more to the pool area.

Why bother? - because this home is worth it - the rear living spaces work perfectly for me - yep only three bedrooms - so not for big families.

What about as a land site only (STCA) - disappointingly that could be an option as the size and location to beach, train, shops is such that this would be a sought after bulldoze and rebuild site, if the price was right.

Personally I hope it doesn't happen - this is as the headline goes, is an icon, worthy of saving (if you are so inclined).
