Comments on 27 Cowper Street BRIGHTON

The condition of this house, in conjunction with some awkward steps and varying ceiling heights has severely reduced the rating of this property.  I have therefore rated the property as land only, but taken into account that the purchaser may wish to keep the facade and restore it to it's former glory.

Dual access from the front and the east laneway may be seen as a big plus for some.

This well positioned home is an easy walk to Bay Street shops and train stations and this will be a big attraction to buyers.

I quite liked the façade of this home -being typical for Cowper and Oak and Elm Streets - North Brighton's best. Solid, Double Brick, Double Fronted Victorian and on a north facing rear block. The floor plan is as Kristen says a little difficult and the back end needs a complete rethink (that's code for bulldozer) however overall it has potential as the rating number indicates. Traditionally homes in this street have not flown when the vendor wants over the odds, and as no quote was being given on this one, the jury is out on whether or not Bidderman will be as strong on this property as he has been on other Bayside offerings recently. A renovation project for those with some depth in their pockets.
