Huge numbers on offer today with another 2 big auction weeks to follow before Christmas wind-down. A lot were bought, but the sheer weight of supply took its toll with Bidderman at a lowish 1.8 overall – consequently clearance rates were down. Strong underlying demand remains, especially on the goodies BUT there are buying opportunities now being presented.

"A great opportunity exists here for any family who ultimately want to live in a special house designed to their own requirements and located within the esteemed Gascoigne Estate. Bones of the house  are very good -  the enclosed porch area to the south western corner would be opened up and the original house largely restored back to it's former glory. Extension to the rear is logical and most would even think about going up here also. Minor concerns are the visual outlook to the two-story rendered modern house to the north and the very serious work / building risks ahead. The upside to this here is huge though - northern rear orientation (great for solar access), generous land content and very conveneient car access off Anderson Street. Given a recent high sale in Central Park Road and strong market conditions generally this should sell well if the vendor's expectations are realistic. Rated as Land-Only here."
