124 Stanhope is an exceptional property in so many ways - it's façade, it's spaces and proportions and most importantly it's feel.

It's on-the-block position for its size is excellent. Yes a few issues - compromised parking but survivable and - a south facing rear but it's single level so you bring the light in from the top and - it needs a reno to be perfect - eg second bathroom position and ... So for many, the current floor plan needs input to really bring out the magnificence in this home.

The location has some road traffic noise off Tooronga but it's manageable and it wasn't substantial in the rear yard when I was there. It's central to most things although Glenferrie Rd shops are a decent walk - so maybe it's a quick tram and then train or shop. However, the improving High St Malvern cafes are around the corner and the Freeway is close by without being too close.

Price -  this is a home of substance - one you would see now in much of the United Kingdom and France. And when you've completed the transformation (if indeed you decide to do one - the magic is still there as is)  then this would be a home only seen in the finest quarters of Paris or London.

A really good opportunity, for those so inclined.
